There is no youth on Easter Sunday, April 21st.

Happy Monday!

Yesterday was a jam-packed, crazy blessed day for #teamawakening. The GEN122 Youth Band led worship in our two Sunday morning services. The band did an OUTSTANDING job leading the church into the presence of God and kicking off a powerful service!

We also had a blast last night at our FRIENDS NIGHT DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT! Despite the bad weather, we still had a good group of students come out to enjoy the evening with each other! The group was split into two teams for the double elimination tournament. The teams were: Perkins 1, Perkins 2, Edison/Norwalk, and Sandusky/Huron/Margaretta.

Perkins 2 took the early lead by winning their first two matches in convincing fashion, and looked unbeatable as they faced the one loss Perkins 2 team in the finals. Since Perkins 1 entered the finals undefeated, they only had to defeat Perkins 2 once while Perkins 1 had to defeat them twice. Perkins 1 refused to lose and won the tournament with Perkins 2 taking second, Edison/Norwalk taking 3rd, and Sandusky/Huron/Margaretta taking 4th.

We had several giveaways throughout the night, and two of our students gave their backstories to share what God had done in their lives as well as how the youth group had helped them through tough times in their lives.

A big shout out goes to all of our volunteers that helped with the event, and especially to Chevy Homan and our Community Outreach Elective for organizing the FRIENDS NIGHT DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT.

We’ll see you this Sunday for youth for fellowship, worship, and a relevant message and discussion topic titled “Whose at Your Table?”!
